I am really behind on blogging and posting pictures, but I just can’t wait to publish the ones I took today. After spending 2 weeks travelling around Japan, I kind of had the feeling it was a good time to leave but still had 5 days to fill up. And that turned out pretty well. After leaving Miyajima and Hiroshima, I spend a day in Kamakura, 2 around Hakone – yay I saw Mt Fuji – and I am now spending my last 2 days in Nikko before returning to Tokyo to catch my flight. I’ll share these pictures soon too, but first: Nikko.
As recommended by the hostel owner, I got out of the bus at Ryuzu Falls to hike +/- 3 hours to the Yukati Falls, following the Yugawa river. Fresh mountain air, quiet atmosphere (between the 100 school classes on their trip to Nikko) and stunning views of autumn colours!
Time to sleep now, I have to wake up at 7 am to eat pancakes (totally recommend the Nikkorisou hostel!)
You can find all the pictures I uploaded so far on my Flickr
