I have officially survived my first week in Japan. I first spent 5 days in Tokyo, then moved to the town of Takayama. I have been a little lazy with posting until now, but since people are complaining, there you go..
Takayama is a charming town that has preserved quite a few old traditional houses. The tiny streets are full of special food shops and cute hand made stuff. There are several walking ways that will bring you to the best spots of the city (temples, shrines, temples, temples,… and hills and forests – like the Shiroyama park, apparently a bear habitat..).
Autumn colors start, yay!
